Today I:

-was a passenger on the world's fastest train. Shanghai's Maglev (magnetic levitation) has reached up to 361 mph before. We only got to about 268 mph today, as we levitated down the track for 30 kilometers. (SIDE NOTE: this is the second Maglev I've ridden in over the past 12 months, but the first not named for an aging American rock band.)

-ascended to the world's fourth highest building, the Jin Mau Building.

-repeatedly declined street merchants' offers to sell me watches, t-shirts, kites, shoes and postcards

-attended a performance of the Shanghai acrobats; the cast of which, just as with Cirque, makes one wonder about child labor laws.
The finale with five motorcyclists in a giant "Ball of Death" surpassed anything the Fonze ever managed.

-perspired lots and lots and lots

-overslept
