Much beer and vodka was consumed last evening in the dining car.
The compartment next to mine that includes four members of our tour group suffered a shattered window; the result of a projectile stone thrown (?) from the side of the tracks. Kinda scary, but they replaced the window last night while we rolled on.
It's extremely warm in the cars and my diet has been less than nutritious!

Bob, just to keep you up on the American sport scene: Kobayashi was defeated by Joey Chestnut in a 5-dog tiebreaker eatoff in the IFCE (International Federation of Competitive Eating) championship on July 4th. Not sure if news of the upset had hit Moscow yet. The nation is stunned!
