Safely back in Quito, Ecuador after 8 nights aboard the Queen Beatrix in the Galapagos Islands. Even for a Stricker (translation: someone not into animals), it really was a remarkable trip.

Saw marine iguanas, land iguanas, mocking birds, blue-footed booby's, pelicans, frigates, land tortoises, sea turtles, sharks, finches, albatross, sea lions, sting rays, doves, hawks and so, so much more. The animals are absolutely fearless when it comes to interaction with humans. Really just a special place.

Tour group ended up being not so bad. There were some younger folks on the boat when we arrived in the islands. Boat was incredibly nice. Only drawback is I have contracted food poisoning. On the road to recovery though.

I have lots and lots of pictures to post.

Heading back to Bolivia this evening.

Bob has food poisoning, but don’t worry, he’s headed to Bolivia where he’ll have access to the best medical treatment in the third world.
