The computer that I'm using right now doesn't allow me to upload pics, so you'll have to take my word for it for now.....I reached the 5,895 meter peak of Mt. Kilmanjaro at 7:25am on Valentine's Day.
I even have a snazzy certificate.
The first four days of hiking were relatively mild, but the final ascent day was absolutely brutal. I was VERY close to quitting during the first hour (12:25am-1:25am) of the last day. REALLY cold, REALLY tired, REALLY short of breath.
Bottom line is it only takes six Tanzanians to get one fat American up a 19,000 foot hill.
More later when I get to a proper computer.
Off to Uganda!!
